Rachel & Colby | New Years Eve love

Rachel and Colby brought their families together for the biggest New Years Eve bash to celebrate their wedding just before ringing in 2016. The very personal ceremony was led by Colby's father, and included vows written by the bride and groom. The night continued with Rachel's father singing to his daughter and new son-in-law, a special dance for Colby's parents as they celebrated their wedding anniversary, and a "first fight" box that Rachel and Colby nailed shut together. The laughter, love and dancing filled the entire ballroom all night long and well into 2016.

The last photo is a special one, taco sauce packets with "I do" just like the packets Colby used to ask Rachel to marry him.

Rachel and Colby - keep making each other laugh and putting each other first. Your love story is inspiring and we wish you all the best in your new life together!

Special thank you to all the great vendors!

Kelly & Brian | LBI Love

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of witnessing the joining of two families brought together by Kelly and Brian. For years Kelly and I have lived parallel lives; our kids are almost the exact same ages, went we through separations and divorce, learning to balance custody schedules and being self-employed. To have someone who understands what your journey is like, to sit with and say, "me too", is a huge blessing.  I was thrilled when this summer we had the chance to plan our weddings just a couple months apart. Their wedding day was on a perfect fall day in LBI. From getting ready at Brian's parents' beach house, to being joined together at the Spray Beach Chapel with Kelly's dad as the officiant, and back to the house for a toast by Brian's son followed by a family first dance, it was a day full of family, laughter and love. Congratulations, Kelly & Brian!

Meet Tobias.

Over the summer, just before the craziness of moving and getting married, I started a part time job at a church in Titusville, NJ. The Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing had the perfect opening to give me some time out of the house, and structure to my work-from-home life. I quickly felt at home in the office working alongside three great women. I soon learned that the minister and her wife were expecting their first baby in September.  While we have all missed Rev. Kim the last four or so weeks, after meeting Tara and baby Tobias, I couldn't blame her for taking leave and staying home. I'm pleased to introduce, Tobias Stephen.

A Riverside Proposal

When Don called me about a month ago, I had a feeling I knew the reason before he even said it. I managed to contain my squeal when he said the words I was waiting for, "I want to propose to Kendra, and I want you to take pictures."

Fast forward a couple weeks to last Friday. Two ideas bounced around, two more phone calls and a handful of frantic texts later, we had a plan for Saturday.  It was an absolutely beautiful evening in Lambertville, complete with my husband second shooting, my stepdaughter as the look out, and even some fun with walkie-talkies. Not only was Kendra surprised by the proposal, Don had her great-grandmother's ring, and a handmade wooden box that he's been working on for weeks!

It was the perfect proposal and we are thrilled for them. Congrats again, Don and Kendra!

Amanda + Ryan

When Amanda and I met just over two years ago, we were both starting fresh in new relationships. We were doing a session for head shots for her nutrition business and chatted like old friends about owning a small business, having new goals and maybe a little bit about boys. One year later we were once again taking photos - updated head shots and engagement photos! I was so thrilled when Amanda asked me to photograph their wedding. When I met Ryan I knew instantly that these two were perfect for each other. He supports her business ventures and they have SO much fun together. It was a beautiful day at Mallard Island Yacht Club witnessing these two become Mr. & Mrs.

Amanda & John

On a snowy March afternoon, families and friends gathered together to celebrate the joining of Amanda and John. Just about two years ago they were the first couple in front of my camera when my business changed over to Love and Luck Photo. Their maternity session was full of love and laughter. I was so honored when they called me again to photograph their wedding day. And I got to meet their sweet little girl, too!
